The Friends of the Ute Indian Museum is a nonprofit organization that exists to support the Ute Indian Museum which is an entity of the Colorado Historical Society. We The Friends raise monies that go to enhance the museum and its cultural offerings to the Montrose community. Our budget comes from the sale of annual memberships; donations; and fundraising events with Native American speakers, musicians, or educational presenters that educate the public about the Ute and other Native American history and cultures.
